ConflictMineralProjectManagerinChinaistodriveIBM'sefforttoattainaConflictFreesupplychain.
NeedtoengageIBM'sdirectsupplierstoassesstheirupstreamsupplychainofsmeltersandrefinersoftantalum,tin,tungsten,andgoldwiththegoalofassuringnomaterialsfromconflictsourcesincentralAfricaareinadvertentlyincorporatedintoIBM'sproducts.
Inthisrole,needtohaveresponsibilityfordealingwithmanysmeltersinChinathatwereuncooperativeandresistanttoparticipateintheindustrystandardconflictmineralauditprocess.
RequiredExpertise
1)Familiaritywithaspectsofanyorsomeof:
-WorkexperiencewithChina/Asiatantalum,tin,tungstenorgoldsmeltersorrefinersishighlyvaluedandwillbetheprioritycandidateselectioncriteria
-ConflictMinerals/USDodd-Franklegislation/SECfilingexperienceispreferred
-SupplyChainSocialResponsibilityprograms-ElectronicsIndustriallyCitizenshipCoalition(EICC)andcodeofconduct-ProductionProcurementSuppliersandassociatedSupplyChain
-BusinessControls/Compliancework
2)StronganalyticalandproblemsolvingskillsCanworkindependentlyandasatechnicalcontributoraspartofaglobalcrossfunctionalteam.
3)Requiredtoworkacrosstimezonesandwithmulti-culturalglobalteams.
4)WorkwithProcurement/Buyers,Engineering,ProductDevelopment,Legal,corporatefunctions,Suppliers,etc.
5)GoodatMSExcelandPowerPoint
